The Truth of the Landscape: Finding the Beauty in Your Thorns
The Truth of the Landscape
In the desert there are no neighbors to impress, there is only the truth of the landscape.
My Libra Saturn often worries about the neighbors, striving for acceptance and harmony. But my 8th House Stellium thrives in the raw, unadorned reality of the wilderness. In the desert, the rocks do not apologize for their weight, and the cactus does not apologize for its thorns. They simply are.
Finding the North Star
This is the heart of Stillwater’s Echo. At its best, astrology isn't about polishing someone’s life to look good for others; it’s about revealing the true landscape of their soul. When I look at a chart, I don't shy away from the dry, harsh, or difficult terrain. Instead, I see the beauty in the survival of the cactus and the ancient history held within the structured rocks.
Starting this business, I thought I needed thick skin to ignore the disappointment of those I expected to support me. But the truth is, the people who recognize the beauty in this work are the ones it is meant for.
I’ve realized that my reasons for doing this are, in a sense, beautifully selfish: I thrive on watching others grow. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone step onto their high road or helping them recognize when they’ve wandered onto the low road and showing them the path back home. I do this for those who want to be the best version of themselves, for themselves.
The low road isn't a failure; it’s just a valley in the terrain. Sometimes we have to walk through the shadows of the canyon to understand the heights of the plateau. My role isn't to judge where you are on the map, but to help you find the North Star in your own chart so you can navigate back to your highest expression.
